Judgment
This Criminal Petition has been filed aggrieved by the order passed by the learned V Additional Sessions Judge at Hyderabad in Crl.M.P.No.285 of 2025 in Crl.A.No.455 of 2025 dated 09.09.2025.
Heard Mr. P. Rama Mohan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.Jithendar Rao Veeramalla, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for respondent No.1-State.
When this Court raised a query about the maintainability of the present Criminal Petition on the ground of delay and laches, learned counsel for the petitioner restricted his prayer by requesting this Court to extend the time for payment of 20% of the compensation amount on the ground that due to poor financial condition, the petitioner could not deposit the compensation amount as ordered by the learned Sessions Court. Unless this Court extend the time for payment of the compensation amount, the petitioner will be put to great hardship.
Taking into consideration the peculiar facts and circumstances of the case and submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner is directed to comply with the order dated 09.09.2025 passed by the learned V Additional Sessions Judge at Hyderabad in Crl.M.P.No.286 of 2025 in Crl.A.No.455 of 2025, within a period of eight (08) weeks from today. In default, the learned Sessions Court as well as the trial Court are entitled to proceed with the matter in accordance with law.
Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is disposed of. Miscellaneous applications, pending if any, shall stand closed.
