Judgment
Easwaran S., J.
This original petition is filed for the following relief;
“ i) direct the District Court, Thalassery (ADC III) to dispose the Original Petition OP(LA)NH 17/2023 within a specific time period.
ii) issue such other orders as this Honourable Court deems fit to grant.
iii) It is also prayed that this Honourable Court may be pleased to dispense with the production of translation of vernacular documents.”
Since the limited relief sought for in this original petition is for an expeditious disposal of OP (LA) NH No. 17 of 2023 on the files of District Court, Thalassery (ADC III), this Court by order dated 08.06.2026 had called for a report from the District Court, Thalassery (ADC III), as to the time required for disposal of OP (LA) NH No. 17 of 2023.
Based on the directions, a report dated 10.09.2026 is placed on record by the learned Addl. District Judge - III, wherein it is stated that the aforesaid OP (LA) can be disposed of within a period of eight months.
In such circumstances, this original petition is disposed of directing the District Court, Thalassery (ADC III), to dispose of OP (LA) NH No. 17 of 2023, within a period of 6 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
