The original petition is filed to direct the Court of the District Judge, Thrissur, to consider and dispose of A.S. No.317/2013 within a reasonable time period.
Pursuant to the order dated 20.3.2023 passed by this Court, the learned Additional District Judge-IV, Thrissur, by communication dated 24.3.2023, has informed this Court that considering the heavy pendency of time bound matters before the said court, the appeal can be disposed of within six months.
Heard; Sri.N.L.Bitto the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners. Even though notice has been served on the counsel appearing for the respondents before the court below, there is no appearance for them.
In the light of the pleadings and materials on record and after perusing the communication of the learned Additional District Judge-IV, in exercise of the supervisory powers of this Court under Article 227 of the Constitution of India, I direct the Court of the Additional District Judge-IV, Thrissur, to consider and dispose of A.S. No.317/2013, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of the judgment
The original petition is ordered accordingly.
