This Tribunal vide order dated 29.03.2022 constituted a Committee under Chairmanship of Chief Secretary, Government of Karnataka to submit an action taken plan for action taken by the authorities concerned to control a discharge of effluents into the drains connecting Chandrapura lake.

Action taken report has been filed by the Deputy Commissioner, Bengaluru, Urban District, Bengaluru. Learned Counsel appearing for the respondent State has submitted that actions are being taken against the defaulting industries and State is in process to open the account and to submit their Environmental Compensation through the available account and further sought two weeks’ time to submit the compliance report.

The matter relates to District Bengaluru within the territorial jurisdiction of Southern Zonal Bench, Chennai.

Accordingly, we transfer the same to Southern Zonal Bench, Chennai.

Registry is directed to transmit the records and place before the Bench for disposal and ensure the compliance.
