The petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction on part of the respondent authorities in releasing the sanctioned amount for the petitioner's son i.e., the 2nd petitioner towards the scholarship amount under the Scheme of A.P State Economically Backward Classes Welfare and Development Corporation Limited vide “Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena”.

The petitioner's son i.e., 2nd petitioner submitted an application for grant of scholarship amount vide Application Number 2023003202. The petitioner's son applied for studying Master of Data Science at University of Monash University in Australia. The petitioner's son had submitted the said application and the respondents have approved the application of the petitioner’s son. However, the respondents have not released the said amount and aggrieved by such action on part of the respondents, the present writ petition is filed.

The learned Government Pleader representing respondent No.4 submits that the application of the petitioner would be considered and amounts would be sanctioned, if the petitioner’s son i.e., the 2nd petitioner is within the conditions specified, for release of the amounts.

Considering the submissions, this Writ Petition is disposed of, with the following directions:-

(i)

The Respondents are directed to examine the claim of the petitioner’s son i.e., the 2nd petitioner within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

(ii)

In the event, the claim of the petitioner’s son i.e., the 2nd petitioner is held to be in order, the respondents are directed to release the amounts to him within a further period of eight (08) weeks.

There shall be no order as to costs.
