Alleging interference by the respondents in calling the petitioner to the police station and making him sit for long hours even though he is not an accused in any crime, this Writ Petition has been filed.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is being called to the police station and he apprehends that without following the due process, he would be arrested.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, on oral instructions, submitted that as of now there is no crime registered against the petitioner, however, if his name is included in any FIR after investigation, then action would be taken in accordance with law.

In view of these submissions, the respondent police are directed not to call the petitioner to the police station without any justifiable cause and to follow the due process of law if the presence of the petitioner is required in connection with any crime.

With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.

Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
