Judgment
This original application is registered on the basis of the letter petition received from one of the residents of Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh raising the grievance relating to concretization of the roots of the green trees by the side of the road and inside the colonies at Jhansi as a result of which the trees are drying up and the greenery is affected. Along with the letter petition complainant has sent the photographs showing concretization of the roots of the trees by the government department and the contractors.
The letter petition raises a substantial issue relating to compliance of the environmental norms.
Along with the letter petition a complaint made to the Forest Officer, Jhansi has also been enclosed. Hence we are of the view that at the first instance the Forest Officer, Jhansi should look into the grievance and take remedial action.
Hence we dispose of the OA expecting the Forest Office, Jhansi to duly consider the grievance and take appropriate remedial action and submit action taken report before the Registrar General of the Tribunal within 3 months by e-mail at [email protected] preferably in the form of searchable PDF/OCR Support PDF and not in the form of Image PDF. If found necessary, the matter will be listed before the Bench for consideration.
A copy of this order be forwarded to Forest Office, Jhansi by e-mail for compliance.
The OA is accordingly disposed of.
