Judgment
This OA has been filed by the applicants, seeking the following reliefs:-
"(a) Call for the original file(s)/record(s) of the respondents dealing with the case of the applicants and peruse the same;
(b) Declare the action of respondents in not releasing the interest on the pension arrears paid to the applicants after inordinate delay in 2017 and charging interest on the CPF contribution as illegal and issue appropriate directions for granting interest to the applicants on pension arrears from the date of retirement till actual payment at the rate of 8% as charged by the respondents from applicants.
(c) Award cost of the application and proceedings against the Respondents and favour of the applicants.
(d) May also pass further order(s) as be deemed just and proper to meet the ends of justice."
When the matter is taken up for admission, it is noticed that this OA has been filed by a number of applicants, some who come within the jurisdiction of the Principal Bench, CAT and the remaining under different jurisdictions. Hence, MA No. 3237/2019 for joining together of persons coming within the jurisdiction of the PB is allowed and for remaining, the counsel will either file OA before the jurisdiction where it lies or obtain orders on PT for their retention in PB.
Counsel for the applicants draws our attention to the representations made separately by each applicants of this OA placed at Annexure A-1, ventilating their grievances and has submitted that a time bound direction be given to the respondents to dispose of the aforesaid representations of the applicants.
In view of the above facts and circumstances, without going into the merits of the case, the OA is disposed of and the applicants, who come within the jurisdiction of the PB, are directed to submit their aforesaid representations to the respondents within 15 days of passing of this order and thereafter the respondents shall pass a speaking and reasoned order on the said representations of the applicants within 90 days thereafter.
With the above directions, the OA stands disposed of at the admission stage itself.
