Judgment
Grievance in this application is against damage to the ponds in Village Morta, Ward No. 20, Ghaziabad. It is stated that garbage is being dumped into the ponds on account of which there is foul smell in the area. Water is highly polluted. Pollution is resulting in diseases. Adjoining cremation ground and transformer of the electricity department are adding to the problem.
We are of the opinion that the above grievance needs to be first looked into by the Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Ghaziabad and remedial action taken in terms of preventing pollution and removing the garbage, in accordance with law. An action taken report with photographs may be furnished by the Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Ghaziabad to the Registrar General of this Tribunal within two months by mail at [email protected] preferably in the form of searchable PDF/OCR Support PDF and not in the form of Image PDF. If found necessary, the Registrar General may place the matter before the bench for further directions.
Subject to above, the application is disposed of.
A copy of this order, alongwith a copy of complaint, be forwarded to Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Ghaziabad by mail for compliance.
