CRL.M.(BAIL) 268/2020 (For Suspension of Sentence)
By this application, the appellant had sought interim suspension of sentence on the ground that his father has been diagnosed with Hepatitis-B and is
suffering from kidney failure.
On urgent mentioning, the present application for suspension of sentence has been listed for hearing through Video Conferencing.
Today, learned counsel appearing for the appellant states that both parents of the appellant are admitted in Fortis Escorts Hospital. The father of the
appellant was admitted on 23rd March, 2020 and the mother was admitted on 2nd April, 2020. It is submitted that condition of the father of the
appellant is serious and presently his lungs are filled with liquid/water.
Learned counsel appearing for the State submits that both the parents of the appellant are being taken care of in the hospital and no attendant is
allowed in view of the presently prevailing situation due to Covid-19. He, however, seeks time to verify the latest medical condition and file the status
report in this regard by tomorrow i.e. 7th April, 2020.
List this application for hearing on 8th April, 2020 through Video Conferencing.
