The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent Police for the offences punishable under Sections 420, 294(b), 323, 506(1) IPC in Crime No.136 of 2024, seeks anticipatory bail.
2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner received a sum of Rs.8,00,000/- from the defacto complainant by promising that he will secure government job for the daughter of the defacto complainant and thereafter, he failed to secure any job and also refused to return the money.
3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner already returned a sum of Rs.4,00,000/- and the balance amount will be settled, if one opportunity is granted to the petitioner.
4.Considering the above submission made on behalf of the petitioner, this Court grants interim anticipatory bail to the petitioner for a period of two weeks. The petitioner is directed to appear before the respondent Police daily at 10.30 am., from 08.04.2024, for a period of two weeks and settle the issue with the defacto complainant.
5.Post the matter on 18.04.2024.
