The instant application has been filed by the appellants seeking condonation of delay in filing the appeal challenging the award dated 31.08.30221, passed by Commissioner under the Employees Compensation Act, 1923 (Assistant Labour Commissioner), Jammu in file No.06-D/ECAct/2021 titled Sapna Devi & Others V/s Commissioner/Secretary to Government, Jal Shakti (PHE) Department, Civil Sectt. J&K, Jammu wherein the appellants have been directed to pay an amount of Rs.9,03,873/-(nine lakh three thousand eight hundred and seventy three) to the respondents and further interest @ 12% per annum would be attracted on the compensation amount.

Learned counsel for the appellants states that he has already deposited the awarded amount with the office of Assistant Labour Commissioner, Jammu as per annexure –IV. The same has already been received by the claimants.

Issue notice to the respondents, returnable within four weeks. Requisites within one week.
