In the light of order passed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court in Civil Appeal No. 3280/2020, State Cement v. State of Meghalaya & Ors. dated 02.05.2023, the matter was to be listed on 19.10.2023. In the meantime, the applicant of MA No. 52/2023 has moved an application for impleadment on the basis that the applicant is also necessary and proper party and should be provided an opportunity of hearing.

In the light of above facts, the applicant, Star Cement Limited, Star Cement Meghalaya Limited and Meghalaya Power Limited is impleaded as respondent. The newly impleaded respondent is directed to file reply before the next date of hearing.

MA No. 55/2023 has been moved by the applicant, Amrit Cement Ltd. with the prayer to inspect the records. Applicant is permitted to inspect the records.

Mr. Raj Panjwani, learned Senior Counsel appearing in the matter has submitted that copies of the applications filed in the matter may also be provided to him for submission of proper reply. The copies of the applications be provided to learned Senior Counsel on available e-mail.
