Judgment
The petitioner seeks direction to the respondents to take all necessary steps for conducting fair and transparent election at the Vallithode division of
Iritty Block Panchayat in Kannur District.
The Election Commission has agreed to provide the following:
Ward No.I (Polling station 1 & 2): Web casting. Ward No.VI (Polling station I1& I2): Web casting. This is because of the fact that the Election
Commission had identified the hypersensitive polling stations.
The Election Commission has also agreed for providing vediography facility in respect of Ward No.IV (Polling station 1), Ward No. XVII (Polling
station 2). This is also because of the fact that the Election Commission had identified the hypersensitive polling stations.
In respect of Ward Nos. II, V & XVIII, the Election Commission has also agreed to provide vediography on a condition that the petitioner will meet
the entire expenses for the same. The above submission is recorded. Therefore, in respect of Ward Nos. II, V & XVIII, the petitioner shall approach
the District Election Officer in order to arrange the vediography after effecting necessary payment for the same.
The writ petition is disposed of as above.
