Heard Mr. R. Raja Shekar Naik, learned counsel representing Mr. Madanu Naresh, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. S. Rahul Reddy, learned Special Government Pleader attached to the office of the learned Additional Advocate General, appearing for the State of Telangana.

This Writ Petition is filed for the following relief:

"... to issue a Writ. Order or Direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, declaring the action of the respondents' particularly respondent Nos.2, 6 to 38 in not including the petitioner union's representative in the District Media Accreditation Committees and proceeding further as illegal, arbitrary, without following due procedure and contrary to the guidelines issued under G.O.Ms.No.252, Dt.22-12-2025 and violation of Articles 14, 19 and 21 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents to include the name of the petitioner union's representative as proposed by the petitioner as per G.O.Ms.No.252, Dt.22-12-2025 and to pass such other order or orders as this Hon'ble may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case."

Petitioner Federation, represented by its Founder and President, has questioned the action of respondent Nos.2 and 6 to 38, in not including the name of its union's representatives in the District Media Accreditation Committees, as illegal and contrary to the guidelines prescribed in G.O.Ms.No.252, General Administration (I & PR) Department, dated 22.12.2025.

Along with the Writ Petition, I.A.No.1 of 2026 has been filed by the petitioner with a prayer that the respondents be directed to consider the petitioner's proposal for including the name of its union's representatives in the District Media Accreditation Committees, in accordance with the aforesaid G.O., pending disposal of the Writ Petition.

During the course of submissions, learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the Writ Petition may be disposed of with a direction upon the concerned respondents to take a decision on the petitioner's representation for including the name of its union's representatives in the District Media Accreditation Committees in accordance with G.O.Ms.No.252, dated 22.12.2025.

Learned Special Government Pleader does not object to such a prayer.

In the aforesaid facts and circumstances, without entering into the merits of the claim of the petitioner, the Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction upon the concerned respondents to consider the petitioner's representation for including the name of its union's representatives in the District Media Accreditation Committees taking into consideration the guidelines prescribed in G.O.Ms.No.252, dated 22.12.2025, within a reasonable time, preferably within a period of six weeks.

The Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous applications pending, if any, shall stand closed.
