Learned counsel for the applicant submits that the applicant was initially appointed as House Keeper through the Services Selection Recruitment Board (SSRB) in the year 2011. Subsequently, he was promoted to the post of House Keeper in 2019 and thereafter to the post of Hostel Manager. He further submits that as per the applicable rules, the applicant is eligible for promotion to the post of Estates Officer. In this regard, the applicant has already submitted two representations dated 13.02.2025 and 23.05.2025, which are still pending for consideration before the respondents.

Learned counsel for the applicant submits that it would suffice if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider the aforesaid representations and take a decision within a stipulated timeframe.

Mr. Syed Musaib, learned Deputy Advocate General, appears for the respondents.

In view of the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the applicant, the respondents are directed to consider the representations dated 13.02.2025 and 23.05.2025 submitted by the applicant and take a decision on the applicant’s claim for promotion to the post of Estates Officer in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.

With this, OA No. 628/2025 is disposed of accordingly. No orders as to costs.
