Judgment
Heard Mr. S. Lodh, learned counsel appearing for the applicant-writ petitioner as well as Mr. D. Bhattacharjee, learned GA appearing for the respondents.
There is consensus at the bar that in the line of the order that was passed on 02.07.2020 (Annexure-A to the writ petition), a similar order may be passed. By the order dated 02.07.2020 delivered in IA No.01 of 2020 arising from this writ petition, the respondents were directed to issue import permit on the indent of the writ petitioner. We do not see any possibility of hearing the matter till 17.08.2020. Hence, the respondents shall immediately issue import permit on the fresh indent that would be submitted in the course of the day.
Mr. Bhattacharjee, learned GA has assured this court by stating that such import permit will be issued by the Collector of Excise within a day if the fresh indent is filed by the petitioner in the course of the day with reference to this order.
A copy of this order be supplied to the petitioner.
Another copy be sent to the Collector of Excise, West Tripura by e-mail in the course of the day.
Further, the respondents are directed to act upon the order, if the order is downloaded from the website and filed to them.
In terms of the above, this application is allowed and disposed of.
