Heard Mr. A. Bhaumik, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners. Also heard Mr. Kohinoor N. Bhattacharyya, learned GA appearing for respondent no.1, Mr. B. Pal, learned counsel appearing for respondents no.2 to 5 and Mr. B. Majumder, learned Dy. SGI appearing for respondent no.7.

Issue notice calling upon the respondents to show cause as to why a rule should not be issued as prayed for; and/or as to why such further order or other orders should not be passed as to this court may seem fit and proper.

Notice is made returnable within 6(six) weeks.

Since Mr. Bhattacharyya, learned GA appears and accepts notice on behalf of respondent no.1, Mr. B. Pal, learned counsel appears and accepts notice on behalf of respondents no.2 to 5 and Mr. B. Majumder, learned Dy. SGI appears and accepts notice on behalf of respondent no.7, issuance of formal notice is waived.

The petitioner is to take steps for causing service of notice upon respondent no. 6 within a period of 7(seven) days by registered post with A/D.

List the matter on 27.05.2024. In the meantime, the respondents may file their counter affidavit, if they so desire.
