Judgment
Ajay Mohan Goel, J
Notice. Mr. Rajat Chauhan, learned Law Officer, accepts notice on behalf of respondents No. 1 to 3. In view of the prayer made in the writ petition and in view of the order that is being proposed to be passed in the writ petition, no notice is being issued to respondents No. 4 and 5.
By way of this petition, the petitioner has prayed for the following substantive relief:-
“(b) Direction may kindly be issued to the respondent No. 3 to decide the case No. 7/1992 titled “Gian Chand etc. vs. Roshan Lal etc.”, which was remanded back by the respondent No. 2, while deciding the Appeal No. 16/2000 decided on 20.10.2000, which is pending since 2000, within a reasonable period, in accordance with law.”
Taking into consideration the relief prayed for by the petitioner, this writ petition is disposed of with the direction that the matter, subject matter of this writ petition, which is pending before respondent No. 3, be decided as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of six months from today by adhering to the principles of natural justice, i.e. after affording all affected parties the opportunity of being heard.
The petition stands disposed of in above terms. Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, also stand disposed of accordingly.
