1) The present petition has been preferred by the petitioner, under Article 227 of the Constitution of India, to seek expedited disposal of HMA Case No. 675 of 2019, titled ‘Manisha Negi Vs Suresh Negi’, filed by the respondent against the petitioner under Section 7(1)(d) of the Family Court Act, pending in the court of the learned Principal Judge, Family Court, Dehradun.

2) Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been contesting the said case since July 2019. The petitioner has to travel 120 Kms., on each occasion, to attend the said case from Uttarkashi.

3) Without going into the merits of the case of either party, I dispose of this petition with a direction to learned Principal Judge, Family Court, Dehradun, to expedite the disposal of HMA Case No. 675 of 2019. Neither party shall seek, nor be granted any undue adjournments. The learned Principal Judge shall endeavour to dispose of the case within one year from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order upon the concerned court. I make it clear that I have not examined the merits of the case of either party. A copy of this order shall also be served on the respondent by recorded delivery within two weeks.
