The petitioner has preferred the present writ petition, under Article 227 of the Constitution of India, to seek a direction to the learned Additional Judge, Family Court, Dehradun, District Dehradun, to decide Original Suit No.603 of 2017, “Ravishankar Sharma vs. Smt. Mona Sharma”, pending in the said Court, as expeditiously as possible.

The petitioner is the defendant in the said Suit. On account of passing interim orders of injunction against the petitioner, the petitioner is suffering prejudice, and consequently, this petition has been preferred.

Learned counsel submits that the matter is pending trial for recording the evidence of the respondent-plaintiff since the year 2019.

Considering the fact that the said Suit is pending since 2017, I dispose of this petition with a direction to the concerned Court to expedite the disposal of the said Suit, as early as possible, and preferably within the next one year from the date of service of a certified copy of this order.

The petitioner shall serve a copy of this order upon the respondent as well within two weeks by recorded delivery.

The writ petition stands disposed of in the aforesaid terms.

7.

It is made clear that this Court has not examined the merits of the case of either party, while passing this order.

Pending application, if any, also stands disposed of.
