Judgment
Learned counsel appearing on behalf of petitioners would submit that they have submitted the application for grant of patta (Forest Rights) in
accordance with the provisions contained in the Scheduled Tribe and Other Traditional Forest Dwellers (Recognition of Forest Rights) Act, 2006
before the competent authority which is pending consideration since 06.03.2018 and has not been decided till date.
I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner.
Be that as it may, the respondent authorities are directed to consider and decide the petitioner's application for grant of patta expeditiously
preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case and the respondent authorities would be at liberty to decide
the application of the petitioners in accordance with law.
With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition stands finally disposed of. No order as to cost(s).
