These L.P.As. are against the judgment date 10th January, 2011 Repeated in 2011(1) JLJR 293 by which bunch of writ petitions were allowed by the learned Single Judge whereby it has been held that in view of the UGC guidelines the age of superannuation of the petitioners-college teachers would stand extended up to 65 years. The same was the issue before the Hon''ble Supreme Court in large number of matters, including Civil Appeals, Writ Petitions and also in some of the transferred cases. Those matters have been decided by Hon''ble Supreme Court in Civil Appeal Nos. 5527-5543 of 2013 Repeated in Jagdish Prasad Sharma Vs. State of Bihar and Others, . The Hon''ble Supreme Court in detailed judgment held that UGC guidelines itself cannot increase the age of superannuation of the UGC teachers. In view of this final pronouncement by the Hon''ble Supreme Court in the case of Jagdish Prasad Sharma etc. etc. (supra), these L.P.As. are allowed and the impugned judgment dated 10th January, 2011 is set aside and all the writ petitions are dismissed accordingly.
