Judgment
Raja Vijayaraghavan V, J
This writ petition is filed seeking the following reliefs:-
(i) call for the records leading to Ext.P4 issued by the 2nd respondent amd issue a writ of certiorari or any appropriate writ order or direction and thereby quash the same,
(ii) issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction directing the respondents to allow the petitioner to apply and participate in the Sub District level in (i) light Music, (ii) writing competition, (iii) Sanskrit Speech individually and in Group level (iv) Vandematharam song (v) Sanskrit Group Song as in the Sanskrit Arts festival as she stood A Grade I in the school level,
(iii) issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction directing the respondents to conduct the school arts festival separately as did in the previous years with regard to general category and Sanskrit arts festivals ignoring Ext.P4.
When this matter was taken up, the learned Government Pleader, on instructions, submitted that the respondents are not intending to implement Ext.P4 during this academic year. In that view of the matter, the grievance of the petitioner does not subsist any more.
As the respondents are proceeding to follow the practice followed during the past academic year, the respondents shall allow the petitioner to apply and participate in the Sub District Level in those disciplines in which she acquired ‘A Grade-I’ in the school level.
This writ petition is disposed of.
