Rajan Gupta, J.—Contends that FIR No. 25 dated 3.3.2008 was registered against the petitioner on the allegation of commission of bailable offences under Sections 323, 341, 148 and 149 IPC. According to learned counsel, petitioner was admitted to a de-addiction centre and thus, could not appear before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, S.B.S. Nagar, on one date i.e. 19.8.2009 due to which his bail bonds were cancelled. He submits that a medical certificate to this effect is also available with the petitioner.

Notice of motion to Advocate General, Punjab.

On the asking of the court, Mr. K.S. Pannu, DAG, Punjab accepts notice.

In view of the fact that petitioner is accused of bailable offences and he could not appear before the trial Court only on one date, it is directed that in case petitioner appears before the trial Court on the next date of hearing, which is stated to be June 04, 2010, he shall be admitted to bail to the satisfaction of the trial Court.
