Prashant Kumar, J.—This application has been filed for issuance of a direction commanding the respondents to give approval of the 27 additional bits and confirming the petitioners as Choukidar on the said bits, as the petitioners were working as Choukidars in the said bits from 2003 without any salary. It appears that as per guidelines issued by the State Government, the Deputy Commissioner, West Singhbhum, Chaibasa created 27 bits and send the list of the aforesaid 27 bits to the State Government along with the names of persons working on the said bits as Choukidar. After receiving the said letter, the Principal Secretary, Department of Home, Jharkhand, Ranchi vide his letter dated 21.05.2010 (Annexure-5) made certain query regarding the persons working against the aforesaid 27 bits. In reply to the said letter, the Deputy Commissioner, West Singhbhum, Chaibasa vide his letter dated 23.09.2010 asked the Circle Officer, Keraikella for giving the above information. Thereafter, the Circle Officer, Keraikella vide his letter dated 26.07.2012 (Annexure-8) send the required information to the Sub-Divisional Officer, Porahat, Chakradharpur. It is stated in the writ application that even after sending the said information, the State Government is not taking any step for giving approval of the 27 bits and confirming the services of the petitioners, who were working on the different bits with effect from 2003 without any salary.

A counter affidavit filed by respondent No. 5, wherein it is admitted that uptil now no decision has been taken by the State Government.

Under the aforesaid fact and circumstance, I direct the Principal Secretary, Department of Home, Jharkhand, Ranchi to take decision on the proposal made by the Deputy Commissioner, Chaibasa vide his letter No. 56(A)(Sa) dated 09.08.2006 by a reasoned order within four weeks from today.

With the aforesaid observation and direction, this writ application is disposed of. Let a copy of this order be given to Mr. Anshuman Kumar, JC to AG for its onward communication to the Principal Secretary, Department of Home, Jharkhand, Ranchi.
