Justice L. Narasimha Reddy :

This contempt case is filed alleging that the respondents did not implement the order dated 19.03.2019 passed in O.A. No.2516/2017. The respondents filed a reply explaining their position.

2.

We heard Mr. Yogesh Sharma, learned counsel for applicant and Mr. Hanu Bhaskar, learned counsel for respondents, through video conferencing.

3.

The challenge in the O.A. was to an order of transfer of the applicant from New Delhi to Nagpur. The O.A. was disposed of on 19.03.2019 directing the respondents to pass a fresh order transferring the applicant to Delhi. The respondents have now transferred the applicant to Chandigarh.

4.

The posts of Senior Architect in Central Public Works Department (CPWD) are very limited in number. In this case, the respondents made an effort to post the applicant at a place nearer to Delhi, but left with no alternative, the respondents transferred the applicant to Chandigarh. The applicant is to retire from service in a matter of two months. If she has any difficulty in going to Chandigarh, she can make a request to the authorities to permit her to work virtually to the extent possible.

5.

We, therefore, close the contempt case and direct that in case the applicant makes a request to permit her to work from home while in Delhi, the same shall be considered by the respondents to the extent possible.

There shall be no order as to costs.
