None appeared for the applicant. However, Mr. Manjeet Singh Reen, learned counsel appeared for the respondents. On the last date of hearing,
i.e., on 13.12.2021 also, when the matter was taken up, Mr. J.S. Mann, learned counsel for the applicant was not present and the matter was
adjourned for today.
Learned counsel for the respondents submits that this matter pertains to release of pensionary dues, pending before the Department. In this regard,
the applicant also made a representation before the respondents on 28.07.2020 (Annexure A-3) followed by a reminder dated 26.10.2021 (Annexure
A-4). However, those representations have not yet been attended to by the respondents. Accordingly, he submits that in the interest of justice, a
direction may be issued to the respondents to consider the aforesaid representations of the applicant and dispose of the same within a time frame.
Accepting the prayer of the learned counsel for the respondents and keeping in view the absence of learned counsel for the applicant, we direct the
competent authority to consider the case of the applicant and dispose of the aforesaid representations by passing a reasoned and speaking order within
a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this Order.
There shall be no order as to costs.
