Petitioner has invoked the contempt jurisdiction of this Court, alleging non-compliance of the order dated 18.06.2026, passed by a Co-ordinate Bench of this Court in CWP No. 9688 of 2026, titled as Sidharth Seth versus State of Himachal Pradesh & Others. The Operative part of the order reads as under:-

“2.

As prayed for, this writ petition is disposed of with the direction that the representation made by the petitioner, appended with the writ petition as Annexure P-1, shall be decided by the competent Authority, in light of the averments made therein within a period of 8 weeks from today, by passing a speaking order, in accordance with law.”

Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that neither the representation [Annexure C-1 annexed with the said Writ Petition] has been decided nor any speaking order has been conveyed to the petitioner, as yet.

Notice. Mr. Varun Chandel, Learned Additional Advocate General, appears and waives service of notice on behalf of the sole respondent.

At this stage, Learned Counsel for the petitioner prays that Respondent may be directed to implement the order dated 18.06.2026 [Annexure C-2] in a time bound manner. Prayer being innocuous, is not opposed by Learned State Counsel also.

Considering the matter in above perspective and as prayed by Learned Counsel for the petitioner, instant petition is closed, with a direction to the Respondent to decide the representation [Annexure C-1], by passing a speaking order and to convey the decision [if not already conveyed], within six weeks from today. Notice issued to the respondent shall stand discharged, accordingly.

Needless to say, that in case, the order passed by this Court, is not complied with, the petitioner is free to seek appropriate remedy,` hereinafter in accordance with law.

In aforesaid terms, instant petition and all the pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, shall stand disposed of.
