Sanjay Karol, J.—Petitioner has prayed for the following relief:- (i) That the respondents may be ordered to regularize the services of the petitioner from the date he completed 8 years of service with all the benefits incidental thereof such as full back wages, seniority and pay fixation etc.

(ii) That the record of the case may be summoned in the interest of justice.

(iii) That any other relief to which the petitioner is found entitled to may be granted in favour of the petitioner.

Quite apparently from the reply filed by State, petitioner''s case has been recommended for regularisation. The relevant portion of the reply is extracted as under:-

That the petitioner Sh. Babu Ram, s/o Jeet Singh, r/o Piplot, Kamrau, Distt. Sirmour, H.P. was engaged as daily waged worker with the respondents for seasonal forestry works from the year 1999 onwards. Since then, the petitioner has completed 8 years of continuous service with minimum 240 days in each calendar year. The petitioner''s case for regularisation has been considered by the respondents and has been declared fit for regularisation in the screening committee meeting under the chairmanship of Conservator of Forest Nahan and the case has been submitted for approval of the competent authority. In the meanwhile, the petitioner has preferred the present CWP in the Hon''ble Court without any reasons as such even though his case has been considered for regularisation. Therefore, it is evident that the respondents have not meted out any injustice to the petitioner and hence, the present petition may be dismissed in favour of justice keeping in view the submissions made in the reply as under.

2.

Consequently, the present petition is disposed of with the directions to the respondents to take a decision with regard to the petitioner''s regularisation, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from today. In view of the aforesaid observation, the present petition stands disposed of, so also the pending application(s), if any.
