Judgment
By way of the present petition, the petitioners have challenged the Communication dated 18th July, 2017 issued by the BDO & Programme
Officer, MENREGS, Selsella C&RD Block, West Garo Hills.
Mr. R. Kar, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the Village Employment Council (VEC) was elected on 15th October, 2014 and the
term has expired on 15th October, 2017. He also submits that the petitioners do not want to pursue the present petition and seeks permission to
withdraw the present petition. Learned counsel for the petitioners has moved an application for withdrawal of the present petition, the same is
taken on record.
Mr. K.P. Bhattacharjee, learned counsel for the respondents No. 1 to 3 submits that he has no objection to the submission made by learned
counsel for the petitioners.
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and submissions made by learned counsel for the parties as well as the application filed on
behalf of the petitioners, the writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn.
