Judgment
Anil Kshetarpal, J
On 07.06.2023, the following order was passed:-
“Shivram and Shakuntla have filed the present petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of appropriate directions to respondent Nos.1 to 3 for providing protection of life and liberty and security to the petitioners who are living together since 24.05.2023 in live-in-relationship and not to interfere in their peaceful life at the behest of respondent Nos.4 to 6 and other relatives and friends in the interest of justice.
It is argued that both the petitioners are major. Copies of their aadhar cards are Annexure P-1 and P-2. The respondents No.4 to 6 are parents and relatives of petitioner No.2-Shakuntla who are interefering in their life along with other relatives.
Notice of motion.
On the asking of this Court, Mr. Rozer Kumar Aggarwal, AAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the State. Learned counsel for the petitioners is directed to supply him a complete copy of the paperbook. Let status report be called for and in the meantime the life and liberty of both the petitioners be protected from the hands of respondents No.4 to 6.
Adjourned to 28.06.2023 for filing status report.
The aforesaid protection order will not help the petitioners in case there is any violation of law.”
The learned counsel representing the State of Punjab produced a photocopy of deposition of the petitioners to the effect that they have already amicably settled the dispute. The same is taken on record.
In view of the aforesaid facts, the present petition is rendered infructuous and is disposed of as such.
All the pending miscellaneous applications, if any, are also disposed of.
