Judgment
V.M. Sahai, J.—We have heard Mr. N.D. Sonagara, learned Counsel appearing for the Appellants. This Letters Patent Appeal has been filed challenging the judgment dated 15th July, 2009 passed by the learned Single Judge in Special Civil Application No. 7172 of 2009 by which the learned Single Judge has affirmed the order of the Labour Court, Ahmedabad passed in Reference (LCA) No. 54 of 2002 dated 23rd July, 2008, by which compensation of Rs. 7500/- has been awarded to each of the Appellants. The Appellants were working with the Respondents for a period of one year on daily wages of Rs. 60/- per day. However, their services were terminated. They raised industrial dispute. The Labour Court has awarded Rs. 7500/- to each of the Appellants as compensation.
Before learned Single Judge as well as before this Court, the Appellants have urged that compensation be enhanced. We are in complete agreement with the view taken by the learned Single Judge that compensation of Rs. 7500/- was adequate compensation. For the aforesaid reason, we do not find any error in the order passed by the Labour Court or by the learned Single Judge. This Appeal fails and is accordingly dismissed.
