Judgment

Heard the parties.
Petitioner has been made accused in connection with Kurdeg P.S. Case No. 23 of 2023 for the offences registered under sections 457 and 380 of the Indian Penal Code, pending in the court of learned S.D.J.M, Simdega.
Between the intervening period of 01/02.08.2023, theft was committed in the house of the Informant. Unknown thieves took away Rs. 55,000/- in cash, jewelleries and other articles.
During course of investigation, petitioner was apprehended in connection with another case. He confessed his guilt and jewelleries were recovered from his possession.
Mr. Pran Pranay, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, submitted that the petitioner is in custody for more than six months and stolen articles which were recovered from his possession, is not in connection with the present case.
Ms. Snehlika Bhagat, learned A.P.P has opposed the payer for bail and submitted that the petitioner is involved in five other cases of similar nature and recovery has been made from the petitioner in this case.
Considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail stands rejected, at this stage.
Petitioner, if so advised, may renew his prayer for bail after six months.
