Judgment

Heard the parties.
Petitioner has been made accused in connection with Kadma P.S. Case No. 100 of 2023 for the offences registered under section 392 of the Indian Penal Code, pending in the court of learned Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Jamshedpur.
On 19.07.2023, Informant was waylaid by two persons near Jamshedpur Marine Drive and looted away his mobile phone and other articles.
Mr. Rohit Agarwal, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, submitted that looted mobile phone has been recovered from the possession of the petitioner. It was further submitted that the petitioner has remained in custody for about eight months.
Considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail stands rejected, at this stage.
Learned Trial Court shall expedite the trial and conclude the same preferably within six months from the next date fixed for recording of the evidence. If the trial is not concluded within the aforesaid period, petitioner, if so advised, may renew his prayer for bail.
