This Criminal Original Petition is coming on for orders on this day under the caption “Extension of time” and upon perusing earlier orders of this Court dated 22.12.2021 and 12.10.2022 and the requisition letter submitted by the Additional District Judge, Fast Track Court, Nagercoil, in D.No.1160 of 2023, dated 03.02.2023 seeking further extension of six months time for disposal of the case in S.C.No.278 of 2017 on the file of the Additional District Court (Fast Track Court), Nagercoil, this Court made the following order:-
This case has been listed today under the caption 'for extension of time' to dispose of the case in S.C.No.278 of 2017.
2.By the order dated 30.06.2023, this Court directed the learned Additional District Court(Fast Track Court), Nagercoil, to conclude the case in S.C.No.278 of 2017, pending on his file, within a period of eight months from the date of receipt of a copy of that order. Now, the learned Sessions Judge, seeks further time to complete the trial process.
3.Considering the reasons assigned by the learned Additional District Judge, this Court is inclined to grant further time and accordingly, six months time is granted. The learned Additional District Judge, Fast Track Court, Nagercoil, is directed to comply with the directions of this Court, without any further delay.
