Mr. Tandra Ramesh, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Medical and Health, appears for respondent No.1 and Mr. T. Sharath, learned Standing Counsel for Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, appears for respondent No.2.
The Writ Petition has been preferred with the following prayer:
“…pleased to issue an appropriate writ order or direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondents particularly the respondent No.2 in not considering the petitioners for counselling and admission into MBBS/BDS course under Management Quota C NRI Category for the academic year 2026-27 as illegal arbitrary unconstitutional and consequently direct the respondents to permit the petitioners to upload NRI documents for admission into MBBS/BDS course under Management Quota ‘C’ NRI category for the academic year 2026-27 in next phase of counselling and pass.”
Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners got registered themselves for ‘C’-Category under Management Quota but could not upload the NRI documents at the relevant point of time. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing respondent No.2 to decide the petitioners’ representations as per the grounds taken in them, in accordance with law, by passing a reasoned order before the next counselling. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous applications pending, if any, shall stand closed.
