Judgment
Per: Justice Ranjit More, Chairman
Mr. Agrajit, learned counsel for the applicant, at the outset, on instructions, submits that the applicant would be satisfied if her representation dated 26.05.2025 is considered and decided by the respondents by passing a reasoned and speaking order within a stipulated period, in the light of the judgment of the Hon’ble Supreme Court in Union of India & Ors. v. Rohith Nathan & Anr. & connected matters, 2026 INSC 230.
In view of the above, since the prayer made above is innocuous in nature, we deem it appropriate to dispose of the present O.A. with the following directions:
The respondents/competent authority shall consider and decide the applicant’s representation dated 26.05.2025(Annexure A-13), as expeditiously as possible and, in any event, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order, by passing a reasoned and speaking order, keeping in view the judgment of the Hon’ble Supreme Court in Union of India & Ors. v. Rohith Nathan & Anr. & connected matters, 2026 INSC 230.
It is made clear that we have not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case. All points and contentions of the respective parties are left open.
The representation of the applicant shall be considered and decided on its own merits and in accordance with law.
Pending M.A.s, if any, shall also stand disposed of.
There shall be no order as to costs.
