The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondent to issue Disability Certificate in terms of Medical Board’s assessment of disability.
There is no dispute with respect to assessment of petitioner’s disability. The Medical Board at Civil Hospital, Mohali has already assessed his disability.
During the pendency of petition, the petitioner was issued temporary Disability Certificate which was not valid for applying against posts advertised by different Government Agencies or promotion.
Learned State counsel on instructions from Mr. Atinder Singh, Clerk, DO SSWCD submits that competent authority would issue final Permanent Disability Certificate within 10 days from the date petitioner surrenders temporary Certificate.
In the wake of statement of learned State counsel, the petition stands disposed of with liberty to petitioner to surrender temporary Disability Certificate. The competent authority would issue final permanent disability certificate within 10 days from the date of surrender of temporary Disability Certificate.
Pending Misc. application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed of.
