Judgment
Vinit Kumar Mathur, J
S.B. Criminal Misc. Interim Bail Application No. 2818/2024:
The petitioner has been arrested in connection with F.I.R. No.307/2019, Police Station Sardarshahar, District Churu for the offence punishable under Sections 302, 364, 201, 420 & 120-B of IPC. He has preferred this interim bail application under Section 439 of Cr.P.C for solemnizing marriage.
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Public Prosecutor.
Learned Public Prosecutor, on the strength of the verification report received from the relatives of the petitioner, submits that the fact of marriage of the petitioner is disputed as the marriage of the petitioner is not being solemnized.
The verification report is taken on record.
In view of the verification report received, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on interim bail. The interim bail application is, therefore, dismissed.
S.B. Criminal Misc. 2 nd Bail Application No. 13587/2022:
Learned counsel for the petitioner does not press the present bail application at this stage, however, prays that the learned trial court may be directed to expedite the trial proceedings.
Thus, the present writ petition is dismissed as not pressed. However, the learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial proceedings and conclude the same at the earliest convenience.
