These are bail applications U/S.483 of BNSS by the petitioners for grant of bail in connection with Khurda Model P.S. Case No. 106 of 2026 corresponding to GR Case No. 217 of 2026 pending in the file of learned SDJM, Khurda for commission of offences punishable U/Ss.318(2)/ 336(2)/340(1)/ 61(2)/3(5) BNS r/w Sec.65/72 of IT Act.
The allegation against the petitioners in gist is that the petitioner-Sanatana @ Sanatan Barik had opened up multiple bank accounts in the name of different persons on the inducement of co-accused-petitioner- Prakash Ku. Sahoo for monetary gain and the petitioner Lalu @ Diptee Ranjan Jayasingh was acting as a middle man by procuring accounts from local residence for use of such account in financial transaction and in the process the petitioners had received some amounts, like the petitioner Prakash Kumar Sahoo allegedly receiving Rs.1,66,348/- (One Lakh Sixty Six Thousand Three Hundred Forty Eight) and the petitioner-Lalu @ Diptee Ranjan Jayasingh receiving Rs.2,39,000/-Two Lakh Thirty-Nine Thousand with the assistance of co-accused Ajit Kumar Samantasinghar, but there is alleged financial fraud of Rs.10,41,02,941.28/-.
Heard, Mr. Manoranjan Mishra, learned counsel for the petitioner in BLAPL No.5634 of 2026; Mr. Amlan Shakti Paul, learned counsel for the petitioner in BLAPL No.7500 of 2026; Mr. Sarada Prasad Dash, learned counsel for the petitioner in BLAPL No.7928 of 2026 and Mr. C. Mohanty, learned Add. PP in these matters and perused the record.
After having considered the rival submissions and taking into consideration the nature and gravity of the offences as alleged against the petitioners vis-‡-vis the accusation sought to be brought against them and regard being had to the pre-trial detention of the petitioners in custody since 05.04.2026/10.07.2026 with submission of charge-sheet in the meantime and there being no criminal antecedents reported against any of the petitioners and keeping in view the other circumstances on record in entirety including the inherent right of the accused to be presumed innocent until proven guilty at the trial and no material being collected to suggest that the petitioners would abscond or would pose threat to the witnesses, if released on bail, this Court without expressing any view on merit admits each of the petitioner to bail.
Hence, these three bail applications of the petitioners namely Sanatana @ Sanatan Barik (BLAPL No.5634 of 2026) ; Prakash Ku. Sahoo (BLAPL No.7500 of 2026) and Lalu @ Diptee Ranjan Jayasingh (BLAPL No.7928 of 2026) stand allowed and each of the petitioners are allowed to go on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand) with two solvent sureties each for the like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Court in seisin of the case on such terms and conditions as deem fit and proper by it.
Accordingly, these BLAPLs stand disposed of. Issue urgent certified copy of the order as per Rules. A soft copy of this judgment be immediately communicated to the concerned Court, who shall afterwards communicate the same to the concerned Jail through e-mail for reference.
