Heard Ms. Kavitha Gottipati, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. G.L. Nageswara Rao, learned counsel for the respondents.
This writ petition in the nature of public interest litigation has been filed questioning the action of the respondents in not following the procedure at the time of acquisition of lands and in not paying fair, reasonable and equitable compensation for the lands acquired from the scheduled caste people as per the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.
The individuals, whose lands have been acquired, can take recourse to law by filing appropriate application under the provisions of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 and therefore, this petition, in the nature of public interest litigation, at the instance of the present petitioner, is not entertained.
Accordingly, the Writ Petition (Public Interest Litigation) is dismissed. No costs. Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand dismissed.
