On 20.3.2020, this Court passed the following order:-

“Issue notice. Ms. Svaneel Jaswal, learned Deputy Advocate General, appears and waives service of notice on behalf of the respondent.

The Superintendent of Police, Shimla, is directed to produce Ms. Himanshi daughter of Shri Tara Chand, on the next date of hearing.

List on 23.3.2020.â€​

In compliance to the aforesaid directions, Ms. Himanshi, daughter of Shri Tara Chand, has been produced by L.C. Rajwanti No.838 & LSI Kavita,

I/O, Police Station, Dhalli, Lady Constable Manisha No.393 and SI Karam Chand, SHO, Police Station, Kumarsain.

We have interacted with Ms. Himanshi, who has expressed her desire to reside with her parents. Ms. Himanshi, admittedly is a major, therefore, is

free to decide with whom she wishes to reside.

In this view of the matter, the present petition for habeas corpus, seeking production of Ms. Himanshi, is rendered infructuous and disposed of as

such. The parents of Ms. Himanshi are present in Court and the custody of Ms. Himanshi is restored back to her parents. The personal presence of

all the parties is dispensed with.

All pending application(s), if any, also stand disposed of.
