Judgment
Gurvinder Singh Gill, J
The instant petition is in the nature of habeas corpus petition, wherein the petitioner alleges that his wife Smt. Vidhi has been illegally detained by respondents No.3 and 4.
ASI Rajender Singh is present in person and has passed on a status report by way of affidavit of Shri Mukesh Kumar, SI/SHO, P.S. Hathin, District Palwal, which is taken on record. It has been deposed therein that pursuant to interim directions issued by this Court an inquiry was conducted in the matter. Smt. Vidhi, Manoj Kumar (respondent No.3) as well as Ravi (respondent No.4) were associated with the inquiry.
It is further deposed therein that statement of Smt. Vidhi was recorded, wherein she categorically stated that she had not solemnized marriage with the petitioner voluntarily and had been allured into the same after administring a sedative to her. She further stated therein that she is under no pressure and has not been kept confined by anybody. The aforesaid status report is accompanied by statement of Smt. Vidhi.
In view of the aforestated position, this Court finds that Smt. Vidhi has not been forcibly confined by anobody. The instant petition is rendered infructuous and is disposed off as such.
