The petitioner through instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondent No. 2 to decide its application filed under Rule 144 of Petroleum Rules, 2002 (for short “Petroleum Rules”).
The petitioner has filed an application under Rule 144 of Petroleum Rules seeking ‘No Objection Certificate’ for setting up of petrol pump at village Buggipura, Tehsil and District Moga.
Mr. T.S.Khaira, Advocate submit that grievance of petitioner, at this state, would be redressed if respondent No. 2 is directed to decide its application in a time bound manner.
Notice of motion
Mr. Aman Dhir, DAG, Punjab, who on advance notice is present in Court, accepts notice and waives service. He assures the Court that competent authority would decide petitioner’s application expeditiously.
The petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 2 to decide application of petitioner within eight weeks from today, in accordance with law.
