By way of this petition, petitioners have prayed for the following reliefs:­

"1. to issue writ in the nature of mandamus to the respondents to re­draw the entire seniority list of Forest Guard in Chamba Circle, considering the seniority as per the merit drawn by the selection committee.

to summon the record pertaining to this case before this Hon'ble Court.

To award the costs of the petition in favour of the petitioner".

When this case was taken up for consideration, learned counsel for the petitioner while drawing the attention of this Court to Annexure P/9, appended alongwith CMP No.6088 of 2020, has submitted that post issuance of this seniority list, the petitioners intend to withdraw this writ petition, however, with liberty to approach the competent authority by way of a representation. Learned counsel further submits that it may be observed by the Court that in case any such representation is filed by the petitioner, then the same be decided in an expeditious manner.

Learned Additional Advocate General submits that he has no objection, in case some time bound directions are passed by the Court for deciding the representation, in the event of the same being filed by the petitioners.

Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn, however, with liberty to the petitioner to approach the competent authority for redressal of their surviving grievance, if any. It is observed that in the event of any such representation being filed by the petitioners within a period of four weeks from today, then the same be decided by the competent authority within three months as from the date of receipt of the representation.

It is clarified that this Court has not made any observation on the merits of the case and the representation, if any, filed by the petitioners, the same shall be decided by the competent authority strictly in accordance with rules and regulations. Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, also stand disposed of.
