This is an application filed by the petitioner seeking amendment of the cause title and memo of parties to the effect that respondent no.8 should now be the “Union of India, through the Secretary, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Shastri Bhawan, C-Wing, Dr. Rajendra Prasad Road, New Delhi-110011” in place of “Union of India through the Secretary, Ministry of Law and Justice”.
The application was filed pursuant to the submission made by the learned Deputy Solicitor General of India that the concerned Ministry would be the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and not the Ministry of Law and Justice. Thus the learned Deputy Solicitor General of India does not object to this application.

The application is allowed.
Steps may be taken to amend the cause title and the memo of parties accordingly within a period of one week hence. Counter-affidavit may be filed within a period of four weeks by the respondent. Two weeks thereafter, to the petitioner, to file rejoinder, if required.
