The matter has been listed and heard vide video conferencing in view of the lock-down imposed on account of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner; learned counsel for the Union of India and learned counsel for the State Bank of India.

At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has passed away during the pendency of the writ petition.

Learned counsel for the State Bank of India submitted that before the death of the petitioner, after the excess payment made to him was adjusted,

his full pension was also restored.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he has no instructions in the matter from the heirs of the petitioner.

Having regard to the aforesaid, the Court finds that when the writ petitioner has passed away and prior to that, after making adjustment of the

wrongly paid excess amount, his full pension was restored; nothing further remains in the present writ application.

In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed off.
