Judgment
The petitioners have filed this petition under Section 482 of the
Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for issuance of directions to official
respondents to protect their life and liberty from the hands of private
respondents.
Petitioners are stated to be major and have solemnized marriage
on 05.10.2017 which is against the wishes of their parents. Factum of
marriage has been pleaded with reference to photographs and Marriage
Certificate (Annexures P-3 & P-4). Petitioners have an apprehension at the
hands of private respondents Nos.4 to 6 and in this regard they have
submitted a representation dated 05.10.2017 (Annexure P-5) to the
Commissioner of Police, Ambala/respondent No.2, but no action has been
taken so far.
The present petition is disposed of with the direction to the
Commissioner of Police, Ambala/respondent No.2 to look into the
representation of the petitioners and decide the same and if required,
provide the protection to the life and liberty of the petitioners by providing
adequate security.
The Criminal Misc. petition stands disposed of.
