Heard learned counsels for petitioner and for State-ACB.
This application has been filed for regular bail to the petitioner in connection with A.C.B. Ranchi P.S. Case No.16 of 2025, for the offence under sections 7(a) of Prevention of Corruption Act, pending in court of learned Special Judge, A.C.B., Ranchi.
Learned counsel for petitioner submits that the allegations against the petitioner is there of demanding Rs.20,000/-. He then submits that the petitioner is in custody since 29.08.2025. He further submits that charge sheet has already been submitted. He then submits that he has got instruction that if the regular bail to the petitioner is granted, the petitioner will not tamper with any of the evidence.
Learned counsel appearing for respondent State(ACB) opposes prayer and submits that cash has been recovered from the possession of the petitioner.
Considering that the petitioner is in custody since 29.08.2025 and the charge sheet has already been submitted and it has been stated on instruction that if the petitioner is granted regular bail, the petitioner will not tamper with any of the evidences, I am inclined to grant regular bail to the petitioner.
Accordingly, petitioner, above named, is hereby directed to be released on bail, on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand), with two sureties of like amount each, to satisfaction of learned Special Judge, A.C.B., Ranchi, in connection with A.C.B. Ranchi P.S. Case No.16 of 2025.
